Link Building
Authority you would be happy to have audited.
Links are the slowest part of SEO and the hardest for a competitor to copy, which is why the shortcuts are so well advertised. We do not use them, and we will show you every placement.
How we do it
Three sources, no networks
Vetted placements
Every prospective site is checked before anything is committed: does it have real traffic, a real audience, and editorial standards that mean a link there is worth something. Most candidates fail that check, which is the point of running it.
Earned coverage
The slower half. Being the business a local publication, supplier or association actually wants to mention, usually because there is something real to mention. Harder to manufacture and worth considerably more when it happens.
Your own assets
Pages worth linking to in the first place. Original data, genuinely useful guides, local resources. This is the part most link building skips, which is why so much of it has to be bought.
What we will not do
No private blog networks. No thousand-link packages. No directory farms built to sell links to anyone who pays. These are cheap because they are worthless, and the usual outcome is not a penalty but a year of spending on something that never moved a single ranking.
The test we apply is simple: if you would not be pleased to see your business mentioned on that site by a journalist, it is not a link worth having. You can see every placement we secure, which is a sentence most link building services cannot comfortably write.
Links come last for a reason
Authority amplifies a site that already deserves to rank. Point it at a site with broken technical SEO, thin pages and a neglected profile and you are filling a bucket with a hole in it. That is why link acquisition sits on the Authority plan rather than being sold to everyone who asks for it.
The earlier work fixes the bucket: the Foundation and Growth plans cover technical SEO and content, citations establish consistency, and local work handles the map pack. If someone has offered to sell you links before any of that is in place, that is worth knowing about them.
Questions we get asked
Not from networks, and not in bulk packages. We work with vetted third-party vendors and tools to secure placements on real sites with real audiences, and some of those placements cost money, which we are not going to pretend otherwise about. What we will not touch is a private blog network or a directory farm, because those are a liability sitting on your domain waiting to be devalued.
There is no number, and anyone selling you one is selling a package rather than a strategy. What matters is the gap between your profile and the profiles of whoever currently outranks you, which is a different answer in every market. A local trade in a small town may need very few. A law firm in a competitive city needs considerably more.
A site that exists to sell links, has no real readership, publishes on every unrelated topic at once, and links out to hundreds of unconnected businesses. If you would not be pleased to see your business mentioned there by a journalist, it is not a link worth having.
A sudden volume of obviously paid links from low quality sites can, and more commonly the links simply get ignored, meaning the money was wasted rather than harmful. The real cost of cheap link building is usually not a penalty, it is twelve months spent on something that never moved anything.
Months rather than weeks, and the effect is cumulative rather than sudden. Links are the slowest-moving part of SEO and the hardest for a competitor to copy, which is exactly why they still matter. If you need movement this quarter, paid search is the honest answer and we will say so.
Because doing it before the foundations are right is spending money on the wrong thing. Links amplify a site that already deserves to rank. Pointing authority at a site with broken technical SEO and thin pages is pouring water into a bucket with a hole in it, so the earlier plans fix the bucket first.
